Womb Tunes
We worked to create an interface for Caroline Pegram during her Cybernetic Imagination Resident at ANU School of Cybernetics.
This project translates foetal ultrasounds into music by combining image data, user inputs, and music from artists.
The platform works by converting a scan into a series of frequencies, creating a unique "sonic fingerprint". Users then interact with the fingerprint, adding their preferences to steer the final musical composition. The process uses fine-tuned music models based on artists' work.
This creative work focuses on how listening and sound perception could help us understand data in new ways. It also speaks to themes of accessibility in medical practice, responsible use of sensitive data, and artist rights in the context of AI.
