Kopi Su’s founders, Kartini Ludwig and Eden Payne, first met while working at Google’s Creative Lab in Sydney in 2018. This is where they nurtured a passion for creating tools that enable artists to access and creatively apply new technologies, like Precursors to a Digital Muse and Machine Learning Tools for Musicians. Kopi Su was later established as an independent studio with the initial support of Google’s Creative Lab in 2020.
Kopi Su and Google’s Creative Lab worked collaboratively across a wide range of digital projects, experimenting with new technologies from augmented reality (AR) to artificial intelligence (AI). When working with our old team, we would help champion the research, ideation and prototyping of the sprint.
